The University of Incheon was founded on March 12, 1979.

We are uniquely situated to become the hub of post-secondary education in Northeast Asia due to our advantageous regional characteristics and geographical locale. We are becoming increasingly focused in scope, particularly in the areas of international trade, sinology, information technology, biotechnology, and international logistics.

In addition, We have been educating our students through the implementation of such initiatives as our English Graduation Certification Program, student exchange programs, etc. With the foundation of our new Songdo Campus, the University of Incheon will become firmly established amongst the most prestigious universities worldwide.

Finally, we will launch into a new era with respect to our history as we complete our transition from a municipal institution to a national univer-sity in 2009. It is assured that this future landmark symbolizes the fruition of our objectives to solidify our school s position as a highly specialized and glo-balized academic institution.
